The firm was founded by Datuk Che Mokhtar bin Che Ali and established under the name of Che Mokhtar & Co. in August 1985 as a Bumiputra legal firm. On the 1st of November, 2002, Che Mokhtar & Co changed its name to Che Mokhtar & Ling.

The firm is currently being managed by Datuk Che Mokhtar and Mr. Ling Thik Ping and assisted by 6 senior associates and another 9 associates. We have about 60 staff in total, many of whom have had more than ten years experience. We are proud that our firm experiences a very low staff turnover and we have a comprehensive legal library manned by a librarian.

The firm’s aim is to be one of the best medium-sized firms providing fast, efficient, proactive and professional service to corporations, financial institutions and developers and individual at reasonable cost.
